
Aniston began her professional training as a drama student at New York’s High School of the Performing Arts. She then got parts in such off-Broadway productions as For Dear Life at New York’s Public Theater and Dancing on Checker’s Grave. In 1989 she landed her first television role as a series regular on Molloy. She also had roles in television series such as The Edge and Ferris Bueller, a recurring part on Herman’s Head and guest-starring roles on The Larry Sanders Show, Partners (which starred ex-boyfriend Tate Donovan) , Burke’s Law and Quantum Leap.
Aniston was in a number of feature films, including The Object of My Affection, Picture Perfect, She’s the One and ’Til There Was You. She also starred with Quentin Tarantino in an interactive tutorial CD-ROM directed by Steven Spielberg, titled Movie Maker and in the feature comedy Office Space, written and directed by Mike Judge (King of the Hill).
She lives in Los Angeles and enjoys painting in her spare time, as well as hiking, camping and virtually anything that brings her closer to nature. She is now romantically involved with actor Brad Pitt.
Her character,
Rachel Green, is the daughter of a rich neurosurgeon. She went to high
school with Monica and Ross and asks for Monica's hospitality when she
lefts her fiancé at the altar, claiming that she never realized
before that he looked like Mr. Potato Head. She was emotionnally involved
with Ross during a past season but she is now still single. She now lives
with Phoebe.
